Tasting Notes:
"Covering just under four acres of the Oak Knoll District, the rich volcanic soils of R/D Vineyard are known for producing Cabernet Sauvignons with remarkable energy and powerful structure. Deep purple-garnet in the glass promises and delivers a bounty of both red and black fruits–ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, blackberry, and blackcurrant. On the palate find floral notes with subtle nuances of dried leather, sweet cigar, and sweet and savory spices. The 2020 vintage has impeccable structure and is notably dry from front to back, followed by a crescendo of acidity that splashes out and lingers gracefully. Aged for 28 months in 67% new French oak barrels. Only 150 cases available."

Vintage Notes:
Mild temperatures created an ideal start to the 2020 growing season, with low winter rainfall contributing to an early bud break. The Cabernet Sauvignon crop was marked by small berries with concentrated flavors. Warm summer conditions were buffered by cool mornings heading into the harvest season, promoting evenhanded flavors and structure across our Cabernet Sauvignon estates.
